Our SECUR Story
By the end of 2021, the world was fiercely battling the pandemic with all settings impacted ranging from schools, hospitals, corporate offices, daycares, nursing homes and counseling based settings. During this time we witnessed a rise in medical conditions like depression as well as unemployment but for those that needed medical attention we saw a drastic change in how, or even if this population was cared for. In most cities there were even public service announcements urging people to avoid coming into medical offices or police stations if they were not life or death circumstances, leaving most persons in unique situations if they were ever faced with health scares, behavioral health conditions, adverse reactions, or any medical emergencies. Most businesses were forced to operate (if they even remained opened) under new conditions, with the normal in office attention being redirected to online visitation, team or zoom calls. Leaving those that could not make it to a medical office in the care of friends or family members who were in know way trained or equipped to assist with such matters.
Surprisedly most patients with behavioral conditions, allergies, underlying health conditions etc are not equipped with self-identifying tools that display essential health information (eg. diagnosis), resulting in medical, daycare staff, or the general public to be at a disadvantage when attending to a medical emergency.
The biggest concerns from medical staff regarding patient care comes in the form of consistently updating patient’s information and retrieval of vital information from families and/or doctor’s offices related to medication changes, food preferences and behavioral challenges. It was ultimately revealed that this is a very common challenge within various settings throughout the world.
This is where the magic happened! As time progressed, the need to create a solution for this problem became even more apparent. We got to work creating the blueprint & purpose for SECUR. SECUR was formed by two siblings, Elan & Jerio Hutchinson, with a great deal of experience in both the medical field & financial background. This dynamic sibling duo have individually experienced huge success in their respective fields so it’s no wonder why SECUR has made such a significant impact in such a short time. SECUR was built on an innovation platform which seeks to provide top tier products and services to those in need as well as those wanting to be proactive with not only themselves but their loved ones. This duo has devoted hours of research, product development and conducting product trials. This process lasted for more than two years until they were able to successfully create an easily accessible, functional and extremely useful information sharing platform intricately named SECUR. The question we now ask is, “Are You SECUR”?
